Windows 2000 Setup Instructions 1. Configuring the Dial-up Connection- Click Start, Settings, then Network and Dial-up Connections.
- Double-click the Make New Connection icon.
- If you havn't yet configured your modem, Windows will run the modem install wizard. Follow your modem's instructions to complete the modem installation.
- If this is the first time you have configured the Internet you will be asked to enter your country/region and your area code, then press OK. Click OK again at the Phone and Modem Options.
- Click Next at the Network Connection Wizard.
- Select the Dial-up to the Internet option and click Next.
- Choose I want to set up my Internet connection manually... and press Next.
- Select I connect through a phone line and a modem and click Next.
- Choose your modem and select Next.
- In the Telephone number field, enter the I.NET.AU dial in number 0198 333 669.
- Uncheck the Use area code and dialing rules tick box and press Next.
- Enter your username and password in the spaces provided.
- Set the Connection name to I.NET.AU and click Next.
- Select Yes and then Next to configure your email address now.
2. Set up your Internet Mail- Enter your real name and press Next.
- Your email address is your username followed by @i.net.au Eg. username@i.net.au
(Note: If you have your own domain name, your email address may be different) - Click Next.
- The incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
- The Incoming mail server is mail.i.net.au
- The Outgoing mail server is mail.i.net.au
- Click Next.
- Enter your username in the Account name field.
- Enter your password.
- The Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) should NOT be ticked.
- Click Next and then Finish.
