Microsoft Outlook XP Setup Instructions

Set up your Internet Mail
  1. Run Outlook XP. If this is the first time Outlook has been run, it may start the Setup Wizard. SelectYes to configure an E-mail account now, and jump to step e.
  2. Select the Tools menu, then E-mail Accounts.
  3. To modify an existing account, select View or change existing e-mail accounts and press Next. Any currently configured mail accounts can be accessed by highlighting the account and selecting theChange button, as shown below.
  4. To add a new mail account, select Add a new e-mail account and press Next.
  5. Select POP3 as the server type and press Next.
  6. Enter your name in the user information area.
  7. Your email address is your username followed by @i.net.au Eg. username@i.net.au
    (Note: If you have your own domain name, your email address may be different)
  8. The Incoming mail server (POP3) is mail.i.net.au
  9. The Outgoing mail server (SMTP) is mail.i.net.au
  10. Enter your username and password in the logon information area.
  11. The Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) should NOT be selected.
  12. You can test the mail account by pressing the Test Account Settings button.
  13. Press Next and then Finish to close the wizard.
